In a race filled with close calls and thrilling chases, the Moonshine Motor Club’s own Tommy Carroll Jr. and Ray Gill faced a challenging day at the Nashville Superspeedway. This event marked another competitive round in the recently renamed Crown Jewel Racing series.
Tommy Carroll Jr.
Tommy Carroll Jr. faced challenges managing tire wear, which ultimately impacted his performance, restricting him to an 18th place finish. His difficulty in saving tires over the race duration hindered his ability to contend for a higher position, demonstrating how critical tire management is at Nashville. Currently, Carroll Jr. is 19th in points, sitting five spots below the playoff cutoff line, highlighting the need for strategic improvements in upcoming races.
Ray Gill
Ray Gill’s performance was significantly hampered by damage sustained in an on-track accident, resulting in a 25th place finish. The incident compromised the car’s handling and performance, making it a tough race for Gill as he struggled to recover and regain competitive speed. Currently, Gill stands 29th in the point standings, reflecting the uphill battle he faces in the remainder of the season.
